Warm Up Exercises
A good weight loss exercise program involves an effective warm up exercise routine before
you start any strenuous activity. The main reasons to warm up are to gradually increase your heart rate to a level for training without
placing undue stress on your heart. The second reason is to warm up and stretch your muscles to prevent injury.
Warm up exercises help prepare your body for strenuous activity. As you warm up, your body goes through changes. Extra activity results in glycogen being called on by your body to fuel the exercise. As more oxygen is required as a fuel, your breathing increases. Your heart rate also increases to pump the blood with the extra oxygen to your muscles.
The exercise causes your body to heat up, so a light sweat occurs as a cooling agent. The end result of the warm up exercise routine is that your body is ready for more exercision.
Now that your heart rate has been increased, it is important to stretch the muscle groups you are going to use during your exercise. The best way to show you warm up exercises is to demonstrate the various warm up routines.
