An often overlooked part of exercise is the warmup. If you dont warm up by stretching and getting the heart rate up, you put your muscles and cardiovascular system under a lot of stress. This can lead to injury such as strained or pulled muscles. As a result you could be out of action for a long time recovering. Then you have to start all over again!
Exercise with Others
If you have given up on previous exercise programs and are afraid that you will again, exercise with other people, whether it be with friends, or with a class at a gym. If you train with friends who are at the same fitness level as you, it is harder not to turn up to an exercise session because you will feel like you are letting them down. Also, you dont want them to get ahead of you in the fitness stakes.
Get a Personal Trainer
If you have trouble finding a good training program, or just dont know where to start, get a personal trainer, even if only for a few months. That way you will have professional advise on how hard you should be training, how to do exercises properly, and you should even get a personalized exercise program
Incorporate Exercise into the Daily Routine
One of the most common reasons people give for stopping exercise is they say they just dont have the time. It is so important to set a time in the day that is your time.
